Rosy who accepted Minister post escorted by inconspicuous husband and daughter

Colombo District Member of Parliament Rosy Senanayaka has become the State Minister of Children's Affairs under the new government.

She does not let her husband or daughters connect themselves in public at any place where she engages in politics. Therefore most people have not got the chance of seeing Rosy's children or husband. On the day Rosy took her oaths as the Minister, Rosy's two daughters and the husband has been present and so her youngest daughter and Radhya and husband were to be seen on the occasion when she took over her duties at the relevant ministry. 

Rosy's husband Athula Senanayaka who is involved in the catering  business and has won a name for himself in Sri Lanka is the owner of the well-known catering network of 'Don Stanley'. His father happens to be the high-ranking police officer, Stanley Senanayaka. 

Rosy's son is Kanishka and one of her daughters, Thisakya has followed a graduate course in Fashions in England and became the topic of the day among media circles sometime back. But it was her younger daughter Radhya who who was present at the ceremony where Rosy took over her duties.

57 year old Rosy is a mother of four and is someone who was brought up in Embilipitiya and Ratnapura. She became the talk of the town when she was able to bring recognition to Sri Lanka by winning the Mrs. World Contest in the year 1985.
