Udari meets with accident

Udari Warnakulasooriya who collided with motor cycle and toppled lamp-post ....  in police custody!

Popular actress Udari Warnakulasooriya has been taken into custody for negligent driving and has later been released on bail.

The said accident has taken place day-before-yesterday (01) night. She had been to Balangoda for some matter and had been returning to Colombo when this accident had taken place
along Ratnapura -- Panadura main road at Gurugoda. She had been driving at a rapid pace in the night and the motor vehicle which she had been driving had struck a motor cycle at Gurugoda and after being thrown had knocked down a lamp-post and stopped after striking a wall.

The motor-cyclist who sustained injuries is presently under treatment at Horana Basic Hospital. It was a male employee of a private establishment in Gurugoda who was so injured. When the accident took place, there had been a male travelling in her vehicle. However, they had not been injured in the accident.

This popular actress who was taken into custody on suspicion in the accident which occured day-before-yesterday night was bailed out that day itself.

Police suspect that the cause of the accident is that Udari who was driving the vehicle had dozed off. Action has been filed against her for not avoiding an accident and she is expected to appear on 15th November at Horana Magistrate's Court.
