Principal kills teacher caught with his wife .... inside bedroom!
A Principal of a junior school in Nittambuwa was arrested for having pushed a teacher who was having illicit relationships with his wife and having killed him.
It is reported that at a time when the teacher concerned has had illicit relationships with his wife, he had got caught red-handed to the Principal and after a fight, the Principal had pushed him into a brook.
The incident as reported is as follows. The Principal suspected for this murder was living with his wife who is a teacher at Old Veyangoda Humbutiyana area. The couple has no offspring. This teacher however serves another school. Because of the overload of work these days as a result of the GCE O/L examination, the Principal had stationed himself in a teacher's cubicle alone and had been dedicating himself to his relevant work day and night. In the process he had been home on and off. The wife for sometime has been having an illicit connection with the Maths teacher in her school. On occasions when the Principal was not at home, she had got down her paramour to the house.
On the day of the incident in question which was 15th Monday, the wife having confirmed that her husband was not coming home that night had telephoned this Maths teacher and he had come to his paramour's house and had been enjoying her company as usual when in the process the Principal had suddenly turned up at home for the purpose of retrieving some documents that he required from home.
Though the Principal usually calls home by telephone on other days before coming home, he has had no time on this day to do so and therefore had straight away rushed home. On coming home, what caught his attention was that there was something queer going on in the house with a motor bicycle being parked in the compound. Since all doors and windows of the house were closed, he had on suspicion set his eyes on the light spreading across inside the bedroom and the sight that met his eyes made him go into a sweat. What he happened to see was his wife engaging in an amorous relationship with another man. He promptly knocked at the door and made the two of them come out of the room and then what surprised him further was that the man inside the room with his wife was none other than the Maths teacher Kapila Raj in her own school whom he knew so well. On the temper that welled within him, the Principal had engaged in fisticuffs with his wife's paramour and the latter too began to deal blows on the Principal.
This fight took place in the compound of the house and the Maths teacher was to push his opponent the Principal into the brook running beside the house. Later the Principal who managed to come out of the brook then pushed the Maths teacher into the same stream. Subsequently the two of them had started hammering each other .... stuck in the mud in the night.
After a short while the two of them were unable to locate each other and the Principal stepped into the house thinking that the culprit had fled.
The Principal who then washed away the mud on his body subsequently began to look around when he happened to see a body floating on the stream. When he pulled out the body he had realised that the Maths teacher had died.
The Principal who got scared at what he discovered, then went to Nittambuwa Police that night at about 11.30 and explained everything that took place.
For further inquiries the police took the Principal into custody. The deceased Kapila Raj was a father of one child. He was serving as a Maths teacher and and had been living down Centre Road, Veyangoda.
The Principal's wife finally admitted that she was having an illicit affair with the teacher concerned.
Further inquiries are being conducted in this connection.
