Paba in political indecision

Anarkali also lost  It's doubtful if I'll win at next elections   -- Paba

Upeksha Swarnamali (Paba) who attended an interview at a weekend newspaper recently expressed in public the doubt about her victory in future.

What she said was that when considering the downfall of a number of popular figures at the last elections, she has had to rethink about the future. It was confirmed by the answers she gave to some questions asked from her.

* You managed to secure the biggest number of preferential votes last time not as a political figure .... isn't it?

   Definitely yes.

* This time do you have a big challenge?
   Yes .... I am so surprised at what happened to parliamentarian Anarkali. I never thought .... her political activities were well-managed. When such a thing happens to a popular figure .... we also have to think about it. I saw what happened to some other artistes. Some won.

* Don't you feel scared when actresses other than Geetha lost?
   Not a fear .... but there are matters to think of. We have to think more and beyond what the masses think from their viewpoint. We have to understand what the public want. That's not easy.

* Have you understood the problems?
   I can't say that problems of the public have been understood hundred percent. But the service I carry out is done .... by understanding the problems. Whether it's successful will be decided at the elections.
