Burglary at Nayana Kumari's home

The home of tele-actress Nayana Kumari was burgled by a gang of burglars day-before-yesterday night which incident she complained to Thalangama police. The burglars who had broken open the rear door of the house had taken away cash and gold jewellery amounting to the value of Rs. 2 lakhs 15,000,  she said.

At the time the burglary took place, Nayana had not been in the house. The police visited her house after the burglary and started investigations after the Emergency police was summoned and on their arrival last morning they were able to trace 8 suspected fingerprints in the house.

The house concerned was one of a luxury type and the occupants had gone there to reside after it was recently completed.
