17 year old girl elopes with 63 year old man ....

A young girl aged 17 years from Matale who carried on a romantic relationship with a 63 year old rich person for a long period of time across the Facebook Account had ultimately run away with him and is now living in Moratuwa area. Though the girl's householders had tried to take her back home, it is understood that she had objected.

It was later learned that this elderly individual was a businessman who was in possession of several vehicles and that the two of them had got to know each other across the Facebook 3 years before when the girl concerned was just 14 years of age.
During that period he had hidden his age and kept up the association going saying that he was a young man.

When this long-time relationship turned out to a love affair, about 2 weeks ago they had decided to meet each other near the clock tower in Kandy town. As such, the two of them had discussed matters and the girl had come to Kandy town. The elderly person had come in a modern limousine of a luxury type and the girl had got into the vehicle at which moment the couple had got to know each other in person for the first time. However she had given scant thought to the fact that she had maintained an affair with an elderly person and showed satisfaction where he was concerned and had later revealed that since he was wealthy she had consented to act according to his wishes. It is a surprising point to note that both of them have eloped in this manner at the first meeting itself.

The girl who thus ran away from home had later phoned her parents and told them that she was living in Moratuwa area. Though the parents of this girl had sought the assistance of the police, the girl had refused to leave the elderly man which situation has put the police officers in a quandary.
