CID probes powerful Minister for Colombo 7 house-grab

Who is the powerful Minister who prepared deeds .... for an outsider's house in Colombo 7?

Today's newspapers, 'The Island' and Divaina'  report that the CID has launched investigations on a powerful Minister in the government on the complaint that he had prepared false deeds over a luxury house worth millions of Rupees which property belongs to a Tamil national. The house concerned is situated along Hewa Avenue in Kurunduwatta.

Though according to the legal policy of the said newspapers they have not revealed the name of the powerful Minister, it may be assumed that it refers to a popular Minister who is noted for his frequent 'gab' and who possesses a name of two letters.

As further mentioned in the newspapers, the relevant Minister had prepared bogus documents on the pretense of acquiring this mansion of a house for higher education purposes and it is understood that he had already acquired the said premises.

This house of luxury status had belonged to a wealthy Tamil national by the name of Nadaraja who had been living in Kurunduwatta. Sometime ago this Tamil gentleman has passed away, subsequent to which it is a Sri Lankan Lecturer living in America at present who claims ownership rights to this house.

It was only a few days ago that the CID received a complaint that this house has been acquired on the pretext of using it for purposes of higher education.

It is also learned that a stock of items running into millions of Rupees too have been removed by now by this Minister and his accomplices on the sly.

The CID is continuing further inquiries into this incident.
