A criticism which confirms that actresses know only singing and dancing only and and not politics and that they step into politics because they can win the votes on the popularity of the name they carved for themselves was exposed by tele-actress Nadeesha Hemamali who recently appeared on a TV programme.

She had frankly revealed that she was contesting the South on the UNP ticket on the occasion of handing over her nomination papers her supporters who had gathered there had begun to play a Pappare music item and she was itching to dance; sinc and she spoke about it in this manner:e it was not suitable to do so at such a time, she had refrained from it with great difficulty and she spoke about in this manner: "To tell the truth .... it was with surprising difficulty that I waited. Usually I am a happy-go-lucky person who leads a relaxed life.

No sooner I heard the Pappare band ... I was feeling that my body was on the verge of dancing ... hic, hic ..... I said. If this song goes on .... I wouldn't be able to go very far. I thought I'd get aside for a moment ... and then I told myself ... Nadeesha ... you are now contesting for a vote ... be careful! Saying so I just managed to scrape through ... today also it happened that way. So it was with great difficulty that I waited".
