News spread around sometime back about Ameesha Kavinda who became popular because of the films Sudu Hansi and Igillenna ei dangalanne and cinema actor Arjun Kamalanath had some involvement and that later she was separated from him and had suddenly left Sri Lanka. Ameesha Kavinda explained about the rumour that spread across various media saying that it was a false story and that she left the country for a personal requirement of hers. The story is as follows:

*Why did you leave the country so suddenly Ameesha?
  Yes .... I went suddenly ... but I didn't leave the country.

*What's the country you went to? Why did you leave so suddenly?
  I went to Qatar.I had to go suddenly because of a request of my elder sister. Her husband is working there. So it's because she can't go alone just with the baby ... that she called me.

*How long  is it since you came down?
  Now it's more than a month.

*Nobody knows about it ... isn't it?
  When I went ... I didn't tell anyone and I didn't tell that I came back either.

*When you went abroad ... several rumours spread around the web.
  Not only websites, it was published in some newspapers also.

*The rumour that spread was that it was an issue between you and Arjuna.
  Not that it spread round .... it was purposely made to spread. To see .... it was some of the very same pople we trusted in that spread this story. Everything happens for the good no .... After this incident we could know who our true friends and our enemies are.

*What can you say about those who spread the story?
  If those who made up the story gained any satisfaction ... that too is a merit to me.

*Do you act only with Arjuna aiyya?
   That's also a lie which those whom we thought are our friends that coined it. I am now a professional actress. I like to act with any actor.

*Will Aruna aiyya like it?
  There ... those who make those stories ... they have made such stories to prevent us moving forward. Arjuna aiyya has no problem with whom I act.

*What special thing do you have to say in this instance?
  There's no such special big thing as such. Now I live having kept both the past malla and future malla aside. It's easy to take the present malla into the hand and live like that.
*Truly speaking ... wasn't there any issue between you and Arjuna?
  Who doesn't have problems? We all are human beings. There are various types of heartbreaks that take place. We ourselves settle those. That's what you call living.

*Your horoscope said that it's better for you to leave the country ... is it true?
  Yes .... how did you find that also? I had a difficult time. It was mentioned in the horoscope that it would be better for me to be away from the country during that period. In the process I got that invitation from my elder sister too.

*Haven't you told the media that you and Arjuna would be marrying towards the end of this year?
  We are not going to tell when we are going to marry ... then only those problems will crop up. take place at a convenient location at a convenient date.

*Then ..... is there a problem between you and Arjuna?
  No .... we're getting along ok just as much as we did as before. We still go anywhere together. No conflict has occured between the two of us.

*Why is the phone number also changed?
  I told you .... just as much as we have friends who care about us ... there are enemies who put on a friendly face. So we needn't respond to them. It's enough if those who know us know about this number.
