MALINGA HIT BY PLASTIC BOTTLE IN TENSE FINALE

West Indian strikes Malinga with a bottle ...... for fun!

     In the last match which Sri Lanka lost to the West Indies, it is reported that a spectator had thrown a bottle at Lasith Malinga of the Sri Lankan team.

    Because of this incident, play was held up for a short while and recommenced after protection to bowlers was confirmed.

   The individual who was responsible for this act was whisked away to a room inside. Certain Indian websites had described the situation saying that a Sri Lankan who could not bear India's win over Sri Lanka had lost his temper and has acted in this manner.

   However, actually it was a 40 year old national from Trinidad who was responsible for this incident. Policewho took him into custody later produced him before the Port of Spain courts. What he said was that he did it for the sakeoffun. Courts warned him saying that he would have to face a 2 weeks' sentence of rigorous imprisonment if he was conected to such an incident within the next year.
