 Sri Lankan cricketers take actresses for money!

     Popular actor Mahendra Perera who has expressed his ideas to a weekend newspaper talks about the sad fate of local actors and actresses and goes on to say that the situation of Sri Lankan and Indian actresses are contrary to each other and thus worlds apart.

     In this instance he brought out an example from the game of cricket. Mahendra who says that IPL cricketers take Bollywood actresses such as Preethi Sinta for money, explains his ideas as follows:
                                                                                                                                     "Indian actors-actresses take cricketers for money. Sri Lankan cricketers take actors-actresses for money. There is no professional background for an actor in Sri Lanka. I have acted for 35 years. Still I couldn't make my house and finish. If I went abroad and did some sort of thing there for 2 or 3 years and come back .... I would have finished building the house .... bought a van and parked it in the portico and could have gone back again. That is that!"
