Gymnast champion who blasted 30 year
old marriage of Russian President

    Russian President Vladimir Putin and former wife Ludmila gave an interview to Channel 24 of Russia a few days ago and he publicly announced his divorce.

   Rumours circulated throughout the past few months that the President was going to leave his wife because of an affair with an Olympic gymnast of a tender age while his wife Ludmila did not appear in public throughout last year.

   The announcer at the interview queried at the interview whether the rumour that they had separated is true. When the President replied, "Yes .... we separated peacefully," Ludmila smiled somewhat uneasily. The suspicion that engaged the minds of the public about the 30 year marriage thus ended. Putin is now to wed a girl 30 years of age; half his age (61). Attractive Alina Kabayeva is an Olympic gymnast champion. This girl alleged to be Putin's lover and who had been at the centre of the hulaballoo is about 3 years elder to Putin's eldest daughter. Putin's eldest daughter Maria is 27 years while the younger daughter Yecatherina is 26 years old.

   Alina Kabayeva is equipped with an extremely flexible physique and has represented  Russia twice at the Olympic Games. She has won 2 gold medals at the Olympic Games. Alina who throws away her outfit when appearing for photographs without embarassment is also well-known as a model. She has appeared on the cover pages of international fashion magazines such as Maxim Vogue, displaying sexuality. Alina has played roles in a number of Russian films as well and has taken part in Russian politics too. She has been previously married and is the mother of 2 children. Her alliance with Putin is something that had been going on for some time. There is also a rumour to say that Alina's 3 year old son and recently-born daughter both are from Putin. Her illicit relationship with the President first began to take wings in the year 2008. It is said that the President almost went mad when a report of he and Alina kissing in a restaurant in Petersburg was flashed across a newspaper. Alina too had thoroughly rejected it and the newspaper was closed down by the government.

    Putin was victorious at the 2000 elections and he came back to power in 2004. Since it is not permitted to hold the post of President more than twice according to the Russian constitution, he had thus no eligibility to appear for the Presidential  Elections and what he did was to present his deputy Dimitri Medvadev. Under him Putin became the Prime Minister. He later changed the Constitution and eliminated the limits imposed on the number of turns in that respect and once again became the President. Though his opponents, however much they created disturbances in the country against this undemocratic process, Putin still carries on with his administration. Whatever it is, the country is prosperous under his rule.

   What the critics say is that Putin knows well what he wants and how to acquire it. Though he now discards Ludmila, it is she who stengthened him.

   Putin is someone who likes sports. It is the opinion of some that that was the reason that attracted him towards Alina. Putin is also an exponent of Wushu martial arts and in certain instances he has displayed his liking to behave as a youth. He also shows ability to play the piano while on and off he does singing too.

   Though Ludmila identifies the separation as something civil, upto now no divorce has been granted. Whatever it is, the Russian public believes that it is only a private issue of Putin. The marriage of the Russian President to this young girl who is half his age is scheduled to take place in the near future. It is said that Alina would be saying goodbye to politics after she becomes Putin's wife.
