When country's developing no harm in a little corruption!- Disaster Management Minister
Minister of Disaster Management, Mr.Mahinda Amaraweera who pledged with a pure motive saying that he is prepared to resign if he had committed a mistake, a few days ago said that when the country is progressing, there is nothing wrong when a little corruption takes place, addressing a public rally at Tangalla.
His speech is seen below.
"Everywhere development is taking place now. When development is taking place, now they say that corruption is taking place. Without waiting not doing anything ..... with development .... there's nothing wrong in a little corruption taking place .... isn't it? Some governments say that though the patient dies ... the stomach is clean .... no deception .... no corruption ... but no point, when roads are being made, when other development is progressing .... so contractors increase .... more officers when the number of groups increase for development work .... when development begins to take place everywhere .... we also know that some wastage happens. But by saying that, development can't be stopped".
