ANANDA SARATH'S ENTREATY

Bailed out PC member who said, "I made no mistake ..... everyone will know the truth"
Anamaduwa District Judge ordered that PC member Ananda Sarath Kumara who  was jailed for making a teacher of  Nawagaththegama School kneel down, be bailed out. After coming out from courts, the PC member told the media that certain politicians had involved him in something which he did not do and that he is sad about the media who does not know anything about this, for pursuing him and attacking him. He further mentioned that the truth of this would come to light in the future and asked the media to expose the truth when that happens.

It is reported that a large gathering was observed at Anamaduwa courts premises and had come there to give him support and had staged a Walk too. After being bailed out, he had gone to Aiyanayaka Dewala and dashed coconuts pleading to the gods for his enemies to be destroyed and the truth to be revealed to the world.

The PC member was taken into custody by the Nawagaththegama police in connection with the incident which took place last 14th and after being produced in courts, was remanded until yesterday (27). The District Judge requested the PC member not to make any influence on the complainant party and to refrain from committing any acts of breach of peace in the area, failing which his bail would be withdrawn. He further ordered the PC member to appear in courts on the last Sunday of every month.  Summons was served on the Vice Principal Mr.Wijayaratna of Nawagaththegama Isuru School to appear in courts at the next hearing on 25th July in connection with the incident concerned.

Representatives of the Teachers' Union mentioned that a number of teachers of schools in Puttalam had applied for sick leave by airing their protest because the PC member was released on bail due to the police misdirecting the courts.
