MALAKA DISCHARGED FROM ASSAULT CASE

Malaka too is released on incident of assaulting Major, on instructions of Attorney General

On the case filed against Malaka and Rohan sons of present and former Ministers as having assaulted Army Major Chandana Pradeep Susena at the Jaica Park in Colombo have been discharged this morning on the instructions of the Attorney General. Seven suspects including Malaka, son of Minister Mervyn Silva and Rohan, relation of former Minister Mano Wijeratna were those accused. It is reported that one suspect had passed away during the Case. The complaint lodged was that on September 8, 2012 the Major was assaulted and his firearms and mobile phone was taken from him. It is said that he was unable to identify at the identification parade. The case was called before Fort Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya this morning.
