How a jet with 108 passengers fell into the sea;
no loss of life
A Lionair jet which was scheduled to land at the Densar Airport in Bali Island in Indonesia yesterday was unable to land there due to some technical defect and the pilots finally gave up hopes when the plane crashed into the sea with the same speed with which it was intended for landing.
It was indeed a miracle that all passengers survived on this unexpected landing into the sea near Bali Island in Indonesia as a result of a technical defect which had occured when the plane was flying with 101 passengers and 7 crew members. The accident took place about 50 metres away from the Densar Airport in Indonesia. Passengers floating in the sea were rescued by the police and Air Force using dinghy boats. Though there were no deaths reported, 22 passengers had to be hospitalised because of this sudden landing.
