New edition of great lineage of Sinhalese ancestry
The shooting of the new edition of the ‘great lineage of Sinhalese ancestry’ (Maha Singhalaye Wansa Kathawa) took place at the’ Swarnavahini’ premises in a glittering ceremony. Some photographs captured are shown below:

‘SWARA’FILM WINS INTERNATIONAL AWARD
For the 5th time the Jaipur International film festival was held with the participation of 90 countries along with 274 films. The Sri Lankan film ’Swara’ (seven Notes) which was a film produced by Sri Lanka was able to win the votes of the jury appointed for this film festival. This film was able to win a special award. This film was directed by Sanjaya Nirmal and produced by Yorenda Weerasinghe and Nita Fernando.
Those who participated in this film festival returned to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport this morning. They were received at the airport a number of reputed personalities attached to the field of cinema.Some of the photographs are shown below:
