YOUNG GIRL FOUND INSIDE KAHAWATTA TEMPLE

The villager in Kahawatta ,Kotaketha area had sounded the temple bell continuously to attract the attention of the villages
A young girl was found occupying a room with a man in robes in the temple Monastery

Kotaketha area in Kahawatta .which became very famous recently for a spate of killing of women. Another incident was reported recently when a villager had seen a person clad in robes occupying a room in the temple monastery with a young attractive girl. This villager after seen this ugly incident had rung the temple bell continuously to draw and attract the villagers. The villagers flocked in their numbers and surrounded the temple.
The couple had got frightened having seen the villages had started to run away from the back door of the temple, partly dressed. The villagers were able to catch the couple, had assaulted them and informed the Police.
This person who had worn robes had been guilty of such offences on earlier occasions also. The Police found it difficult to control the emotions and uproar of the villages in protest. The assistance of the Special Task Force too had to be sought to calm and disperse them. The tensed situation was brought under control with the arrest of the couple.
The HQI of the Kahawatta Police ,The Chief Inspector of Police Niranjan Abeywardena and their team are conducting investigations into this incident.
