Mega boys and girls are the people who get caught as prostitutes and homosexuals, not Tele-drama actresses

Senior popular actor Jayalal Rohana in an interview to the ‘Lakbima’ newspaper stated that the current Tele drama field has deteriorated due to the new Mega Tele girls and boys. He had stated how they get caught very often as prostitutes and divorcees and how they try to be famous by giving publicity that they are innocent and that those were all through rumors.
He even refused to call them actors or actresses and he said that that they are prostitutes and homosexuals who ruin the good name and respect of the field.
The interview he gave to ‘Lakbima’ is as below:
Nowadays the artistes give the message that getting divorced, being a prostitute and losing one’s self control is a normal thing. I am not talking about the entire lot of actors and actresses. I am talking about the ‘mega’ boys and girls who want to show their faces to the camera for 500 bucks and who think that they are big heroes and heroines. We can’t call them actors or actresses. They are just ‘Mega’ boys and girls. They don’t have their brains and haven’t been educated in a school. Even though they have brains, they don’t know how to use them. That is because they are not educated. Passing O/L or A/L won’t give them brains.
They have deteriorated the field and the people don’t respect the real actors and actresses who really deserve to honored. Gamini Fonseka was one of the best actors who brought honour and respect to this field. People respected him. Yet, what did these ‘Mega’ boys and girls did? They did all the bad things in the world just to show their faces on TV. They still do them. Media give publicity to such people as artistes and publish all the stinking things they do and their headlines become “Brothels have been raided” or “Mega Tele actress got nabbed”.
I am not scolding the media because what they intend is to show something in a shrewd manner in order to attract the audience.
Nowadays people are running after money. So the‘ Mega’ Tele actors and actresses who are prone to sexuality and would do anything to become popular. I will tell a small example. There was one actor in Hollywood. Media didn’t publish much about him. Finally, he ‘peed’ in public when thousands of people were looking at him who attracted the media and they published a lot about him. He was arrested and he told that he did such a thing to be popular which he didn’t receive as an actor.
We have such people in our field. Some do wrong things to be popular and they tell the media that they are hundred percent innocent. I see them as very cheap. They wouldn’t do such things if they love the field and if they love their fans. Therefore, intelligent fans move away from the field of Tele dramas. They get used to watch other interesting TV series and programs via satellite TV. Who are to be blame? Is it right to scold satellite TV?
The era of Tele dramas are reaching its end. It will be over forever after the end of 2013. There are people who call them Tele drama directors. They like to work with‘Mega’ boys and girls because it is cheap on every side. They are paid only 500 bucks a day. They will do anything to show their faces on TV and they will earn using other methods.
Apart from this, the field is full of homosexuals. They get work. So what is the message given by this? Isn’t it the end?
Nowadays ‘Mega’ boys and girls are after homosexuality as if they have gone crazy. They think it is a fairy world. Therefore, there are a number of ‘Mega’ boys and girls. We can read all the things they do when we log into the internet. Those days, our senior artistes had principles and they worked on a contract and they had their own rules whereas these ‘Mega’ boys and girls have no principles.  That is the condition of this field.
