“The Swarnavahini television channel had been threatened by the manner I said earlier.he had told not telecast my stories about the sufferings of the innocent Middle east migrant workers at the ‘Live@ 8’ news bulletin, HON. Speaker. There is a journalist by name kapila whom Minister Dilan Perera had spoken over the phone on this matter and had threatened not to telecast over my versions to the media. The recorded telephone conversation is in my possession.
In addition he bribes the newspapers also not to publish these stories about the suffering migrant Middle East workers by giving bribes. Details are not permitted and allowed to go out from the Foreign Employment Bureau. The bogus foreign employment agencies pay huge sums to the Minister for suppressing these news of stranded workers in Jordan, Lebanon, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Qatar and Saudi Arabia where I had visited.
