NEW METHOD FOR GANJA TRANSPORTATION

A crippled army soldier, who had attempted to transport ganja, in the pretext of a genuine traveler nabbed by to the Police.

Sevanagala Police officers had been successful in arresting a youth who had pretended to be a crippled soldier so that he can transport ganja weeds without been suspected as he can easily earn the compassion of the police.
A bus travelling from Colombo to Monaragala had been checked by the police at Udawalawe Road, Thanamalwila, while checking the passengers and they have suspected a crippled soldier, the manner he answered to the questions posed by the Police officers. Police have suspected that something has been hidden under the bandage from which the wounded leg had been covered. When he had been inquired by the police, he had answered in a suspicious way.
Thus, even though it is a rude and an uncompassionate thing to do, the Police had asked him to take off the bandage. Surprising every one, a packet of 500g of ganja weeds has fallen off as he un- wrapped the gauze. It had been revealed that he had hid the packet of weeds pressed under his leg had been broken.
Soldier had been arrested for illegal transportation of ganja weeds and he is to be taken before Embilipitiya Magistrate Courts.
