A RAID AT SRI LANKAN TOBACCO SHOP IN USA

On the pretext of marketing cigarettes two Sri Lankans nabbed by American Police for selling ‘K2’ Marijuana drug:

Last Friday in Texas City in America two Sri Lankans were apprehended by the American Police for selling banned drug ‘K2’ Marijuana drug.
The name of this tobacco selling shop is “Weatherfords Tobacco and more”. Through a clue received the Police had raided the shop that they had sold banned drugs in addition to the normal business of selling cigarettes.
At the time of the raid there were three persons inside the shop. They were the owner a Sri Lankan 40 year old Francisco Don Uduwarage, another Sri Lankan 27 year old Sanka Dilhara Welihinda and a female foreign National Keran Alvin. It is learnt they had conducted the activities of the shop.
At the time of the arrest there had been 890 packages of “K2” banned drug detected. Its value in Sri Lanka Rupees amounts to around 35 lakhs, it is reliably reported. The United states police had given bail to the two Sri Lankans for sums of US $ 75,000 and US$ 50,000 respectively. It was also revealed that the two Sri Lankans had been proved to be illegal migrants without valid visas.
Further investigations are carried in this regard by the United States Police and this had been revealed in the ‘Star Telegram’ website in Texas, America.
