MINISTER WELGAMA NAMES THE NEW TRAIN AS “NAYANA KUMARI”

The new office train from Hikkaduwa to Colombo has been named as “Nayana Kumari” by the Transport Minister

For the convenience of office workers to travel to Colombo a new office train commenced plying from Hikkaduwa to Colombo the other day.
A ceremony was organised on the opening day by the Department of Railways. The Minister of Transport Nimal Welgama also travelled in the inaugural journey from Hikkaduwa to Colombo. As there was name for the train Minister has suggested the name as “Nayana Kumari”
