DRUG ADDICTED AIR HOSTESS CAUGHT AT PAMANKADE

Last Friday night a highly addicted drug addict Air Hostess attached to our Sri Lankan Airlines was nabbed when the car she was driving was stopped at the Police road barrier at Pamankade. She had been driving a brand new car along with another girl colleague.
The Police had seen a packet of cigarettes and some ‘silver’ papers inside the car and that had arisen some suspicion to search the car. When the Police checked her handbag they had found about 20 packets of ‘heroin’. She also had ‘heroin’ packed inside vitamin capsules. The Police claims in their reports she had in her possession 468 grams of ‘heroin’.
The Police had arrested the Air Hostess and her colleague. Her colleague had confessed that she was unaware that her friend was a drug addict. When interrogated the Air Hostess drug addict had confessed that she is a resident of Rajagiriya, studied in an International school and had joined the Sri Lanka Airlines as an Air Hostess when she was 19 years of age. At present she is 27 years old.
She had confessed that she had first tasted drugs at a party and got addicted to it and had been taking drugs for a number of years. She had also confessed that she needs four packets of ‘heroin’ a day and over the years all the money she had earned had been spent on drugs. She had said she may have spent lakhs of rupees on drugs. The car she was driving belonged to her mother which was given to her from her office. She used to travel in this car to Kohuwela and Wellawatta areas to purchase drugs. She also had confessed that she shivers and feel very weak without taking drugs. She is used to carrying drugs embedded in capsules whilst on flights. Along with her she confessed having a gang of boys who are also addicted to drugs.
She was produced before courts and was ordered to be remanded whilst investigations are proceeding. Her colleague was released on bail.
