PC CHAIRMAN’S RAPE CASE AT AKURESSA

A 14 year old school girl raped at a guest house owned by the suspect himself:

During the last Provincial Council elections, the candidate who polled the maximum number of preferential votes S.L.Sunil was made the Chairman of the Akuressa Provincial Council. He had been suspected to have raped a 14 year old girl( still a minor) at his own guest house and had been ordered to be remanded.
It is reported that the suspect had been absconding, but the Police had been able to nab him yesterday early morning.
He had raped the same girl in the same guest house twice earlier, which is reliably learnt that is owned by him. To run a guest house for a Chairman of a Provincial Council for his own purposes and in his own area is a most disgraceful and dastardly act.
By obtaining peoples preferential votes and becoming the Chairman of the Provincial Council and raping young girls is not at all conducive to his constituents who themselves should now be repenting. In addition running a business like a guest house with the intention of earning money is a wrong full and irregular act.
The 14 year old innocent girl living in the Poramba area in Akuressa has now been admitted to a hospital and it is learnt that she had been given a strong guard by the Police.
After the P.C Chairman was produced before courts the Additional Magistrate Miss Dulani Amerasinghe had ordered him to be remanded until the 26th of this month.
It is reported this morning that a powerful Minister has given orders for the accused to be given all comforts and a unit in custody during his term of inprisonement.
