DUAL LIVES OF MONK IN KURUNEGALA

The married monk’s robes were seen beneath his clothes:

The Crime Division of the Kurunegala Police had been successful in arresting a monk who had got married by production of fake documents.

The suspect is 40 years old is Hiripitiye.Dhammachandra Pirivena’s Ven.Dhamma Vissudhi thera. He was arrested on the grounds when he had applied for a driving license in the name of a layman producing fake documents.
It was revealed that fake documents had been prepared for the monk to get married. The monks name as a layman was Ratnasiri Bandara, it was reported.

Once before too this monk had been charged by Malwatta Sanga Sabha for possessing forged documents, but had been pardoned. It was noticed that Ven.Dhamma Visuddhi thera had worn a layman’s dress over the robes and gone on a motor bike to see his wife. He had been arrested by the Police along with the villages at such an occasion it is reported.
