THE YOUGSTER WHO WAS IN THE HABIT OF PEEPING THROUGH THE INDOW OF A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG GIRL'S ROOM WHERE SHE SLEEPS,
HAD BEEN TRAPPED TO GET ELECTROCUTED
One youngster had been in the habit of peeping into a room through a window of the room where this beautiful girl was used to sleep. This action had continued for some time. The girl, Sandamali’s father had wanted to stop this nonsense and decided to teach him a lesson.
Her father wanted to electrocute him by making a trap. This unfortunate incident of the death of a youngster is reported from Gampaha. The location is in Udugampola area in Gampaha and the house was along the ‘lower road’, a small by lane.
The youngster too had lived along the same road about 700 metres away from Sandamali’s house. Sandamali had been known to be a very beautiful and attractive girl who catches the eye of any youngster. Her mother has expired about 15 years ago and she had been living all alone in the house. Her father is a farmer who earns his living and livelihood through this profession.
The youngster as 21 years old has had a secret love confined to him but not disclosed to Sandamali. His satisfaction was peeping into her room through the window of her room for a long period of time.
The daughter and father had observed that someone was coming into the garden and peeping. The daughter had made cries when she had seen a person peeping, at each time the youngster had bolted. No one knew who the person was. When he as noticed and screams were made at numerous times he had run away without been caught. Sandamali often was frightened whether a robber had entered their premises.
The father of Sandamali thought this matter must have an ultimate solution and it had to be ended soon. He drew a plan to electrocute this person when he visits the house. He made a electric wire 3 feet above the ground near the room and had kept the wire ‘live’ with current from evening to early morning.
Last Sunday morning along the ‘lower road’, in the Udugampola area in Gampaha a dead body of a youngster was found along the road by some people .An anonymous caller had called the Gampaha Police, who had arrived at the seen immediately. When the body was examined there had been some bruises on his legs and they were covered with dust. The Police revealed that the body had been brought from some other location to this place. The Judicial Medical Officer after examination revealed that the death had occurred via electrocution.
The deceased by name is Nadeesha as 21 years old. His home people had told that he had been seen at home in the evening on that day and had only visited a friend that day in the neighborhood. They had noticed that he had not returned home that night. They had heard that a dead body of a youngster was found along the ‘lower road’. The Police investigations revealed that the death had occurred at a nearby house and brought to a close location along the same road. The father is a retired Army soldier, and he was the eldest in a family of two other younger brothers and two younger sisters.
The deceased person’s close friend had given a clue that he had been hiding a secret love for sometime with Sandamali. That is the reason he had gone to the Ranasinghe’s residence constantly to peep and see the attractive Sandamali. The daughter and father who knew about this incident revealed the truth to the Police which helped in the investigations.
Ranasinghe had confessed to the Police that he had drawn the ‘live’ electric wire for his daughter’s protection. On the night of the incident, they had heard someone falling and simultaneously yelling ‘AMMA’.As they were scared to watch the seen, Sandamali had via her mobile had telephoned her Aunt, Somawathie about such an incident and wanted her to come to her residence. She had come in a trishaw while her son Jeewantha had come a little while later on his motor bike. They had decided to take away the body to another location along the same ‘lower road’. They had dragged the body from the premises and Jeewantha had taken the body on his motor bike and had left it near a lamp post, just to give an idea that he had been electrocuted there. His mobile phone had been thrown away. His pair of slippers were brought and was thrown into a nearby sewerage pit. He had tried to avoid in giving this evidence to the Police. The Police were shrewd enough to solve the mystery of the murder.
The police on the orders of the Magistrate had remanded all those who were involved namely, Ranasinghe, Sandamali, Somawathi and Jeewantha until the 2nd of May.
