“I have found the reason for losing matches”- Sanath reveals to Parliament:
Today in Parliament during the debate in connection with expenditure in the Ministry of Sports, Sanath Jayasuriya made a speech.
Sanath is usually silent within the Parliamentary sessions made a speech today about our stand in cricket, disclosing why we are on the losing trend despite having played in the final of the ICC World Cup 2011.
His version was as follows:
“Sri Lanka cricket team had constantly lost matches after the last ICC World cup 2011.Some people blame on the Minister of Sports for it, while some others scold the Government while the rest blame the President. I never believe that these reasons are incorrect. It is the same team that played in the final of ICC World Cup 2011 is playing now. There is question about the talents of individual players.
What I found out that this loses are due to differences among the players in the squad. Without resolving the conflicts that exist among the players our team cannot be blended in to a winning unit. In order to come to a winning streak the conflicts that exist have to be resolved as soon as possible”.
