ALUTHGAMA TRAIN ACCIDENT

Today early morning on Aluthgama Depot Road at an unprotected rail crossing a train had collided with a lorry transporting soap. The lorry after the collision had been dragged along a distance of about 300 yards, crumbling it to pieces. Two men who were travelling in the lorry had succumbed to their injuries.
