For all campus students a reality show with S.B.’s sponsorship
At a time where there have been several conflicts between University students, Professors and Doctors, it is learnt that a ‘Reality Show’ is to be organised under the sponsorship of Minister of Higher Education S.B.Diassanayake. Students from all Sri Lanka’s campuses and students from all Higher Education institutions to expose their innate abilities in various fields of art and to appreciate and identify their talents could participate in this proposed Reality Show named ‘Kavitha’ is being organised to be held shortly. In this connection a media conference was held in Colombo disclosed Minister, S.B.
It is learnt that there no SMS’s are involved in this contest and there will be 9 events in this competition and the best would be chosen. There a variety of events and Professor Sunil Ariyaratna has been named as the ‘Programme Director’.
It was also brought to the notice by Parakrama Niriella seated in the audience that during the regime of the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Lakhsman Jayakody a similar ‘Reality show’ named ‘Jana Karaliya’ was organised, sponsored by the Cultural Ministry, which ultimately did not take off the blocks. The funds that were allocated were utilized for the purchase of a vehicle.
