Rosy's daughter speaks

I feel sad for things that some people tell my mother --
says Rosy's daughter

It is seldom that m.p. Rosy's daughter joins in a media discussion. She has joined in a discussion today with the Mawbima supplement.

Though she patronised clubs with members of her family, her mother had never gone to such places and had not even taken a glass of champagne, according to her. She also goes on to say that though she entertained the idea of participating in the Miss Sri Lanka contest, her mother had not granted her permission.

She says that members of her family bears up the rumours spread around her mother simply because her mother happens to be a woman .... sometimes she herself feels sad about what people say about her mother.

Must talk with friends in England.
* Why hasn't Rosy's daughter come to the media?
I had a desire to participate in the Miss Sri Lanka contest. But mother didn't allow me to go. Mother did so because she wanted to protect us. Mother has protected us for so long .... now mother does not want us to make a mistake for any reason whatsoever.

* Do you have a fiance?
Yes .... I have. By now that love is three and a half years old/

* Do you like to mention his name?
Apooooo .... can't tell now itself. ... try and find out if possible.

* What is the vehicle that you are using now?
The vehicles at home are too big for me ... because of that, my fiance brought and gave me a small vehicle from here ... a Vizi .... a small white car.

* Haven't you ever collided anywhere with this vehicle?
Last week my vehicle collided .... luckily it was not a big accident .... but that man asked me money ... I gave money and came off. The car had got scraped a little bit.

* We have heard that those in parliament had poked fun at your mother.
Yes I have heard. What I think is that my mother is an easy target in politics ... because she is a woman. Before my mother came into politics she was a very popular figure. After coming into politics hat popularity increased .... so those people who couldn't bear it up started poking fun at mother.

* Some people talk bad about your mother; can you bear this up?
Though we bear it up .... sometimes we think whether these things could be borne up like that.

*What do you think of the politics that your mother is involved in?
Mother helps poor people .... she speaks on behalf of them. These days there is a lot of talk about child abuse. I'm in favour of her kind of politics . In the same way she has a wonderful feeling about the country.

*Do you like mother doing politics?
I respect my mother .... in the same way I also respect mother's politics ... but sometimes I feel sad about what people say about my mother.

* Why is father not to be seen?
Father is there .... he's doing a job ... like we, he also doesn't come to the media.

* Do you like to come into politics?
Our mother has never sent us to politics. But whenever any injustice is done to society ... we'll come forward with mother. We also joined in holding boards in the protest launched by mother against child abuse. Beyond that I don't think of coming into politics.
