The National System Operator (NSO) private company emphasizes that there is no need to increase electricity tariffs for the fourth quarter of this year, from October to December.

This announcement was made during today's (05) stakeholder consultation meeting regarding the proposed electricity tariff revision for the fourth quarter of 2026. The National System Operator company clarified its position to the stakeholders that tariffs should not be increased during the relevant period.

To reach this position, the company has primarily based its decision on environmental and climatic factors. They point out that the current water reserve levels in the reservoirs where electricity is generated are one of the main reasons influencing this.

In addition, forecasts of higher-than-average rainfall in the future under El Niño weather conditions have also directly contributed to this decision.

Taking into account all these factors, including the favorable rainfall conditions and the water capacity in the reservoirs, it was further confirmed during the discussion that an increase in electricity tariffs is absolutely not necessary during the October to December period.
