Samsung Electronics, a world-renowned technology company, is preparing to pay the largest cash dividend in its history for the third quarter. To be eligible for this historic dividend, investors in the international market must purchase shares of the company before September 28.
According to financial reports, a dividend of 4,600 Korean Won will be paid per share this time.Samsung has decided to return a massive fund of between 90 and 110 trillion Korean Won to its shareholders as benefits this year alone. Approximately 30 trillion Won of this will be released in the third quarter, which is a massive growth of more than twelve times compared to the previous second quarter. The final decision on dividends and the payment schedule is expected to be confirmed at the company's board meeting held at the end of October, with payments typically made in November.
Notably, this dividend yield has attracted special attention in the financial sector as it is significantly higher than current market bank interest rates. Analysts estimate that Samsung's annual dividend yield will be around 6.1%, which significantly exceeds the average annual fixed deposit interest rate of approximately 3.4%. It is expected that such a high dividend issuance will keep the company's stock price stable and strong in the international market for the foreseeable future.
