Investigations to find the missing student after residents were informed about a letter under the bed

Madampella Police have launched a wide investigation to find a fifteen-year-old schoolgirl and her boyfriend who disappeared after informing her mother over the phone not to search for her and to retrieve a letter placed under the bed.

The disappeared girl was a 10th-grade student residing in the Thambagallawatta area of Madampella. Investigations have revealed that she had been in a romantic relationship with a young man who worked at the same factory as her father.

The girl, who took lunch to her father yesterday (18) morning, did not return home. While searching for her, her mother reportedly received a call from the young man's mobile phone. During the call, the girl stated, "I'm not coming back... don't look for me... there's a letter under the bed, take it." Subsequently, the mother lodged a complaint with the police regarding the incident.

The mother further stated to the police that the young man who had a relationship with her daughter previously resided in the Issammädilla area of Madampella, and information has been received that he is currently employed in the Vavuniya area.

No information has yet been revealed regarding the disappeared minor schoolgirl or her boyfriend, and Madampella Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
