5th Grade Scholarship Exam August 09 - Applications Online Only

The Commissioner General of Examinations has announced that the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, held annually with the aim of admitting students to schools and providing scholarships, is scheduled to be held on Sunday, August 09, 2026.

Applications for this examination will be accepted exclusively through the online method, and the period for this has been given from March 30, 2026, to April 30, 2026. The Department of Examinations strongly emphasizes that the relevant online portal will be closed after 12:00 midnight on April 30, and the deadline for accepting applications will not be extended again under any circumstances.

Only students studying in Grade 5 in government schools or government-approved private schools are eligible to sit for this year's Scholarship Examination. Furthermore, the announcement states that only students from low-income families who have not exceeded 11 years of age as of January 31, 2027, are eligible to receive the scholarship allowance.
