Venerable Kassapa has viral fever

The Sinhala Organizations' Alliance states that Kassapa Thero and other members of the Maha Sangha, who are currently imprisoned, have contracted the viral fever spreading in the prison hospital and are in a critical condition.

A young member of the organization, commenting to the media, stated that Kassapa Thero and the others are in great difficulty.

The young man from the organization who went to inquire about their well-being mentioned that they walk with great difficulty, and even when speaking, the vitality they previously had was not evident.

The young man, stating that he was deeply saddened to see the difficult situation they are in, said that they are ill in a way that would shake the heart of any Sinhala Buddhist.

In light of this situation, the Sinhala Organizations' Alliance emphasizes that the government, prison authorities, and relevant officials must take responsibility for the health and safety of the four imprisoned Theros and other individuals.

“It is regrettable that diseases are spreading in a prison like this. Why, for heaven's sake, is this happening to the Theros? The authorities must immediately pay attention to this,”

He also stated that he wishes for the four ailing Theros to recover quickly through the blessings of the Triple Gem.
