The President pays homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic in the New Year.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake arrived in Kandy this morning. The purpose was to worship the Sacred Tooth Relic and receive blessings.

After worshipping the Sacred Tooth Relic, the President met with the Mahanayake Theros of the Malwathu and Asgiri Chapters and received blessings, a Neth News correspondent stated.

While leaving the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, it is reported that the President also had a brief conversation with devotees who had come to worship the Sacred Tooth Relic.
