The death of the Kosgama teacher, found burnt to death in a rented house, is a mystery.

A teacher residing in the Padukka area was found burnt to death inside a house in the Kosgama area yesterday (31). The person who unfortunately died in this manner is 39-year-old Moradege Nandakumara, a resident of Halpe area, Minvisithurugama, Padukka.

According to Kosgama Police, the body was found in a house located near the Moonamale Watta volleyball court in Kosgama, and he had been temporarily residing in that house on a rental basis. Initial investigations have revealed that the deceased was a school teacher serving at Hanwella Ilukowita Vidyalaya.

No definite information has been revealed yet as to whether his body caught fire while he was sleeping in the house, or if the incident occurred due to a fire caused by an electrical leak, or if it was a self-immolation suicide. Kosgama Police have launched extensive investigations into the incident.
