Flooding Disrupts Traffic on Polonnaruwa-Batticaloa Road

Due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions in the country, traffic on the Polonnaruwa – Batticaloa main road has been disrupted.

Specifically, due to water flowing across the section of the road from Gallella to Manampitiya, Polonnaruwa Police took steps to restrict the movement of trishaws and motorcycles last night (19) as a precautionary measure.

Polonnaruwa Police further stated that this decision was made because driving small vehicles is risky due to water flowing across the road.
