CREW Operation Rescues British Woman After Dramatic Fall from Little Sri Pada (Video)

 A British national woman who came to visit Little Sri Pada mountain, a popular destination among local and foreign tourists located in the Thuna Kanuwa area within the Ella Police Division, suffered a serious accident yesterday (18) afternoon after falling into a precipice.

The woman who met with the accident has been identified as 32-year-old British national Catherine Alice. Ella Police stated that she fell into a precipice between 50 and 100 feet deep while climbing the mountain.

A special CREW rescue team from a hotel in the Ella area, along with officers from the Ella Police, made strenuous efforts to rescue the foreign woman who had fallen into the precipice and sustained injuries.

The woman, who was brought up from the precipice with great difficulty, was promptly admitted to the Badulla Teaching Hospital via the 1990 Suwasariya ambulance service.
