The victory of 219 runs gained by Sri Lanka in the last game concluded recently in the one-day Cricket tournament which comprised of five matches with England actually brought a fresh revival to the Sri Lankan team.

Sri Lanka's captain Dinesh Chandimal says that all players are behind this victory and this win they achieved was indeed a great victory which they claimed with a number one team in the world.

Chandimal who expressed his ideas at the media briefing after the match had this to say: "We were able to achieve this kind of victory because of the skills we showed in all three aspects of the game when compared to other games in the tournament. Since we achieved this win against the number one team in the world ... it would be a great strength for our onward journey. Sadeera, Dikwella and Kusal did their duty to the team. We can't forget the bowlers and the fielders either. We have a young team as such. They are constantly developing and moving forward. Whatever it is, we discuss every day about the point of what we should do before embarking on a game.

It was about two years back that I experimented with the reverse sweep and developed it. It was because by adopting that sweep on spin bowlers that their rhythm is broken and because of such a shot a bigger number of runs could be scored that I thought of making use of that shot. 

We had a big faith in Kusal. He is a player who is a number one fielder and a leading batsman too. Because of that we had a big faith that he would make his grade once again in batting. It was with that belief in mind that we gave him another chance. We do like to play to a larger number of fans ... but such a big number of spectators were not present maybe because today is a holiday".
