The BMW vehicle which had fallen into Kimbula Ela in front of Keels Supermarket in Thalawathugoda around 6.15 this morning (17) had been a new one sans registered numbers and belonged to a Muslim businessman related to a
UNP politician, it is reported.

The vehicle had not being able to be brought under control after striking 2 Axio and Corolla type motor vehicles and thus had fallen into the said lake. The businessman had agreed to pay compensation to the damaged motor vehicles. News published that it is a motor vehicle belonging to the President's son as appearing in Facebook was actually a hoax.
