Sri Lanka has been able to trounce Pakistan recording a memorable victory in the First Test played between the two countries in Abu Dhabi.

The Sri Lankan team who first went in to bat managed to get a total of 419, all out. The Pakistanis who responded collected 422 runs, all out. Sri Lanka in their second innings were placed in a

precarious situation by collecting only 138 runs, being all out. However Pakistan was not able to reach the easy target of 136 and the Sri Lankan spinners who rattled up the opponents could make a win of 21 runs.

Rangana Herath who engaged in a wonderful bowling spell bagged 6 wickets. On behalf of this victory clinched after quite some time, the President too sent a Twitter message, congratulating the team. In the process Rangana was successful in securing his 400th Test wicket in today's game. Among records of today's game is the win on a challenge for the lowest score for the 4th innings and the victory attained by Sri Lanka with the lowest gap.
