Thevarapperma in a 'satyagraha' in front of a Bulathsinhala rubber factory

It is reported that in the vicinity of the Ukweli kanda,Bulathsinhala rubber institution the deputy minister Palitha Thevarapperuma has commenced a 'satyagraha'.This is in protest of the poisonous waste chemicals from the factory are drained into the environment which has been continued for sometime.This has continued dispute

the protest by the people living in the area.

Owing to this  environmental pollution it is reported that many had become weak in health and had polluted the roads and wells.The deputy minister had said that until a solution is arrived at he will continue with his 'satyagraha' action.He along with the residents request the factory authorities to formulate a scheme to eject the waste without causing any harm to the residents.

The deputy minister Palitha Thevarapperuma on an earlier occasion nearly hung himself to death citing a case of non admission to school a group of tiny tots.
