Bandula deceived when he had said how the disabled soldiers were treated then at media briefing

Yesterday the 08th there had been a media conference organized by the members of the joint opposition on the pension matter of the disabled soldiers.During the media briefing Member of Parliament and of the joint opposition Bandula Gunawardena had said the the cabinet paper on the pension of the disabled soldiers had been passed.

At that moment an argument between him and the media personnel had commenced.

Question: What is the year the cabinet paper was passed?

Answer: In December 2104

Question: After a war that was on for 30 years did you all stay until December 2014 to award pensions to disabled soldiers.

Answer: Not one there were thousands of cabinet papers.All ministers  present cabinet papers. They are taken up in the order of preference.

Question: For those soldiers who  sacrificed their lives losing body parts you all did not have time to allocate for the disabled soldiers.Perhaps you may have had more important work to attend to.?

Answer: When the officials of the defense ministry take decisions they get directed to many areas.A cabinet paper cannot be prepared in a day.The government was dedicated to act on other matters those days.We were dedicated to build up funds, build houses and  hospital facilities as our priorities.
