The New Year celebrations this year was organized by the London Sri Saddhatissa International Buddhist school ( Kingsbury temple) was held for the 26th time.The event which was celebrated by a cultural  show and new year celebrations were held at the Harrow leisure center on the 30th April

patronized by a huge gathering.This new year celebrations and the cultural show is regarded as the one patronized by the largest Sri Lankan community.

There had been a number of traditional Sri Lankan sports events and cultural programmes.It has been reported that Sri Lankans who are living scattered in many parts of the united Kingdom had participated to make this event a tremendous success.
