Students to get sex education via life merits subject
The officials of the ministry of education has proposed to teach students sex education by extending the school education subject to life
merits subject. This has been suggested by the child protection authority to the ministry of education.
The chairman of the child protection authority Natasha Balendra had appropriately spoken at an interview with the BBC radio sandeshaya programme that children should be educated on sex education. She had emphasised that all children should be well aware of sex activities when they attain age.This would be made with the child protection authority in consultation with the ministry of education.
