invites Mahinda to speak instead of Maithri!
It was President Maithripala Sirisena who made the main address to the public after many speakers made their speeches on the occasion of the funeral ceremony of the Late Venerable
Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera held at the Parliament Grounds last evening. While three announcers from three languages invited the President to deliver the speech; though the invitations were properly made in both Sinhala and Tamil, the announcer who spoke in English happened to make a blunder by inviting 'President Mahinda Rajapaksa'. Whatever it is, he promptly corrected himself and after apologising invited saying 'Maithripala Sirisena'. However, Mahinda Rajapaksa was not there yesterday in that audience.
