Because of a abandoned used tyre makes six at Law faculty to acquire dengue one serious

In the Colombo University Law faculty six undergraduates had acquired dengue fever and had been admitted to the national hospital for treatment yesterday the 27th.

Hospital sources have revealed that one of the students is in a serious condition and has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the national hospital.

It is been reported that the dengue mosquito had breed the dengue mosquitoes in the water hat had accumulated inside used tyre which had been abandoned close to the male hostel of the universities law faculty.

This fact has been revealed by the Chief medical officer of Health Dr Ruwan Wijemuni after investigations were made.

The physical heath unit of the Colombo University had deployed their staff to peruse where the breeding of the dengue mosquitoes had multiplied and had found several of those which had breaded from the water that had accumulated inside an abandoned tyre.

It is learnt that owing to the decapitated condition of the building with broken bathrooms kept neglected students of the law faculty have filed two  case against the authorities at the Maligakanda magistrates courts Dr Ruwan Wijemuni had added.

It had also been advised to clean up the entire area surrounding the Colombo campus premises.
