Police jumps on Jackson's house to search for jeep given by Basil!

A team of police officers of Kadawatha Police came to popular artiste Jackson Anthony's house at Wanigasooriyawaththa in Karagahamuna area, Kadawatha on a tip off received by 119 Emergency Unit on 25th night that a vehicle belonging to the Ministry of Financial

Development is being kept hidden there in the house.

On investigations carried out it was possible to find a modern Micro type jeep minus the number plate under covering inside a garage in the house. Police obtained statements from members of the house and what Mr. Jackson Anthony's wife Kumari said was that the said vehicle was gifted to her husband by Micro Motor Company for a television production matter.

During the process of investigations there had been no documents related to that vehicle available.

However, later Mr. Jackson Anthony who provided information in this respect to the police happened to connect the said Micro Motor Company to the police on the phone and the latter gave a statement admitting that the vehicle was gifted to Jackson. Police then reported that a statement was given by a Director of Micro Company that that jeep and another jeep was given as a gift for the television programme 'Maha Sancharaya' for its propaganda work, directed by Mr. Jackson Anthony.

Prior to this Mr. Jackson Anthony expressed his ideas to the media sometime back saying that members of his family do not have any vehicles and that they were innocent artistes who were engaged in just living by shaping up the day's bread and butter.
